How Much Do I Value Friendships?
(Tim and Tina are
sitting at the SUB Pepsi Stand, eating egg buns and drinking bottles of Coke.)
TINA:(Sheds some tears.)😭Tiiiiim, I
can't believe that my friend, Oyinda, refused to pick my calls for a month and
then sent me a hate text yesterday.
TIM:Haha! Kilode?
Why would she do that? Or you guys weren't on good terms before?
TINA:Do you know
we went shopping together two months ago at ShopRite? We both had so much
fun. 😏
I didn't know that she was already saying goodbye to 'us' while I was still
saying hello to!
TIM:That one na
confam red card for you, Tina. Some people can be so funny. They sometimes want
to let go of their friends to free themselves.
In the process, they end up losing the good ones.
TINA:But why
should that happen? Yes, I know there are some friends that carry me like a bag
of rice while I carry them like a pinch of salt. But will I love everyone the
same way? 😔 How do you handle your friends?!
TIM:Hmmm!
Actually my case is not an exception. I can't relate with everybody same way
na. Though I think some of my friends actually deserve more but that one, na
story jawe.
TINA: Also, some
of my friends are what I call For-Fame-Friends(FFF). They cling to me because I
am popular. I am just tired.
TIM:Hmmm. That's
true oo. Most people just want to be your friend for them to be seen with you.
Some of my friends in class just sly me outside and I'd feel like 'Hey bro, our
friendship na just for class?'. I feel bad about it, sha.
TINA:Plus, I
don't have a best best friend. Tim, you are my best friend. You are a guy, now.
There's a limit to what we can discuss...
TIM:Hmmm. True,sha.
But is it actually right to tell your friend everything about you?
AUNTY GOODSENSE:
Friends! Friends!! Friends!!! Handling relationships is quite hard. Building
quality friendships is harder. Many of us would agree that the slogan, 'You attract people like you!', is partly
untrue.
Well, one big question is- Can you be as real as who you really are with or without your friends?
Plus, valuing people, from the cleaner in Awo Hall to Aliko Dangote,
should be a must-do for us all. Value whoever you meet because God values every
soul He created.
Finally, choose your
value-adders- people who add value- wisely!

wow this cool. nice write up.
