            Tim and Tina Chat

(Tim and Tina are walking on Tech Road, University of Ibadan. The weather is hot and their T-shirts are soaked in sweat.)
Tina:(Smiles)Tim, I was just compared to a palm tree by a lecturer. But he said I am not as graceful as the tree. I hate that I am so tall!
Tim:(Frowns)Really? But why would he do that? What's his business with your height?
Tina:(Swings her arms back and forth)We had to get some books from a shelf on the wall and since I am taller than all the guys in my class, I had to do the job.
Tim:(Sighs)Well, Tina, a girl just likened me to a short and stout "Hi-malt" bottle yesterday. Trust me, that spoilt my mood.
Tina:Pele o. I don't know why your height should be an issue. It's not as if banks dash people extra money because they are tall.
Tim:Abi o. The most painful part is that my weaknesses have always been attributed to my shortness even when the situation has nothing to do with height. I wish I could just get taller overnight jare, Tina.
Tina:God will elongate you o! Or you beg Longman dictionary for some help...
Tim:(Laughs) But I really wish I could do something about this shortness though I think it shouldn't be such a big deal in our world.
Tina: Really, there are some limitations your height can place on you. For instance, most girls prefer taller guys. Who will marry the short men?(Laughs)
Tim:All the best o! (Punches her shoulder)Many men don't want taller girls. Who will marry you?

Aunty Goodsense:Celebrate your height! You are just the perfect height for YOU! If you are tall, know that you might not be able to hide so easily in a crowd even if things are usually within your reach. For short people, you are awwwwn and awesome just the way you are even if you can't get things that are high up easily. We are all God's masterpieces and He never made a mistake. LOVE YOUR HEIGHT, IT'S YOURS!!!
