         CLEANLINESS

(Tim and Tina are seated in the Shoemaker's Shed in Awo Hall.)

TINA:(High-fives Tim) Hi, Tim! How was your day? Pele. Hmm. Something happened in my hostel this morning o.Something happened in my hostel this morning o.😀

TIM: It was fine. Just that I had to skip few lectures to get something done in my hostel.Ehnehn. What was that?

TINA:There was blood on the floor of one of the bathroom stalls. There were also some very small black worms on the bathroom floor. Eeew! The sights almost made me puke.

TIM: (Shakes his head)Blood? Why would that be in a hostel? I guess the blood must be from an injury, abi. What happened gangan?

TINA:Nooo. It was menstrual blood. It was so disgusting.

TIM:(Makes a spitting gesture)Haba! Who could that be? You girls shouldn't be like that now. Dirtiness of the highest order!

TINA:What of you guys? Don't tell me guys don't wear the same pair of boxers for two weeks. Abi, you want to lie, ni.

TIM:Haba No. Never. Just that I wash my clothes every two months.(Grins) But I don't think that's abnormal since I use deodorants.

TINA:See this dirty boy, sha. You are not even ashamed to tell me that you are a little stinker.

TIM:Ashamed kwa! I am not a girl, now. I don't really get sweaty too. Boxers should be washed regularly,sha.

AUNTY GOODSENSE: Staying clean is important. Many of us contribute to our ill-health by staying dirty. We litter the streets, drainages, bedrooms, classrooms and public vehicles with rubbish. We trigger epidemics and destroy the environment just because we can't make just a little effort to be clean. We owe the world and lives we have been given by the Heavenly Designer the responsibility to love to be clean!
