Tim, a student of the Department of Chemistry is with his bestie, Tina- a student of the Department of English at a table in the SUB Pepsi Stand in the University of Ibadan.
Tina: Really, how are you, Tim?
Tim:(Sighs)This my weight is making me depressed nowadays. Tina, I find it difficult to find anything good about how I look.
Tina:(Hisses)You are not the only one ke. I am just too thin and it is not that I don't eat...
Tim: (Chuckles)Really? I wish I could just be as thin as you are. What baffles me most is that no one has complained about my size but I still can't take my mind off it.(Rubs his potbelly)
Tina:My friends call me Tina Thino. It's just so annoying. I mean, why can't I wear all the beautiful gowns? Of course, I don't have the body wey I go use carry am.(Checks her make-up with her phone's screen)
Tim:Talking about names eh,(Shakes his head) my friends get high on just calling me names.(Chuckles) What I hate most is that "Omo butty" look I get from almost everyone.
Tina:Pele jare. They no sabi say you be correct ajepako pikin. Can you do any sports with this your size?
Tim: Abi oo. I can, though. I have been thinking of getting a volleyball partner. My friends aren't an option because they would only make me feel worse.
Tina:Igbadun. I am not interested in any physical activity before I lose the little weight I have.
Tim:(Laughs) I know I should shed this extra weight instead of spending half the day staring at the mirror trying to figure out what has made me a cousin of the pig.
